COTK Quarterly Newsletter
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! We are excited to introduce this quarterly newsletter as a means of keeping our church body informed, encouraged, and united in mission. Inside each issue, you’ll find ministry updates, prayer requests, event announcements, and information on ongoing church projects—all designed to strengthen our fellowship and sharpen our focus on the work God has given us in the Rio Grande Valley.
About Us
Church of the King was founded in 2003 in McAllen, Texas, with a clear purpose: to glorify God through faithful worship, sound doctrine, and active ministry in our community. As a Reformed church, we are joyfully committed to the sovereignty of God, the authority of Scripture, and the proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We hold a postmillennial hope that the knowledge of the Lord will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea, and we believe the church plays a vital role in that advancing kingdom. Through theonomic conviction and expository preaching, we are equipping the saints for every good work and calling all men everywhere to submit to the Lordship of Christ.
Our Vision
Our vision is nothing less than to see the Rio Grande Valley transformed by the Word and Spirit of God. We long to see McAllen, our home, become a thoroughly Christian city—where Christ is honored in homes, in schools, in businesses, and in the halls of civil government. This is not a vision built on human strength or worldly strategies, but on the promise of Christ’s victory and the power of His gospel. We labor, pray, and preach with confidence that the risen King is drawing all things under His feet.
